Why Merlin
We are an AI company, a consulting firm, and a startup. Each is an important part of who we are.
AI is the obvious one. We believe artificial intelligence is one of the most important technological shifts of our generation. It will fundamentally change how businesses operate, how people work, and how value is created. That’s why we started Merlin.
Consulting is the one that usually needs explaining. Nobody grows up dreaming of becoming a consultant. Kids dream of becoming astronauts, firefighters, or rockstars, not the person presenting Slide 37: “Key Learnings from the Moon Mission.”
And for a long time, consulting made us feel like jack of all trades, masters of none. We used to think that was its weakness. We don’t anymore.
Specialist knowledge stopped being scarce around the time ChatGPT showed up. Today, anyone curious enough to ask the right questions can reach expert-level answers in minutes. What remains scarce is someone who can move across domains, connect the dots, and know which answer actually matters.
